Phoenix Rising is a non-for-profit independent youth organisation, consisting of young people from the Dublin area. marching brass playersWe are a show band consisting of Brass, Woodwind, percussion and Colour Guard Sections (Dance) Established in 1992, The organisation provides an interesting and healthy hobby for young people of all ages, through a structured and positive learning environment, helping to install the values of discipline, dedication, commitment and respect which are carried into the community with a true sense of Pride.

Phoenix is a registered young people’s charity and are members of the Irish Marching Bands Association. (www.marchingbands.ie) in whose approved national contests we compete, gaining recognition for ourperformances. We provide entertainment for the general public through shows,performances, concerts and competitions.marching band drummer Each year the staff design and co-ordinate a musically and visually sophisticated programme fitted to the talent levels of the students in the organisation. Throughout the winter months the fundamentals of music and marching are taught and our students begin learning the program. By late spring the finishing touches areadded and its time to take our show on the road. Throughout the summer we perfect and fine tune out performance until the Irish Finals in September.

Phoenix’s mission statement is “is to advance education through the establishment and operation of a youth band which will encourage a knowledge and appreciation for music for the benefit of the community of Tallaght and its environs; to educate and develop the members of the band in the art, culture and performance of music; to perform music to the highest possible standard.

Join Us & Contact Information We enrol new students every Tuesday at 6pm in St Mark’s Youth Club and Family Centre, Cookstown Lane Tallaght. (beside St. Mark’s community School.)
